Reluctantly we have taken the decision to cancel our Family Day at The Hall (Saturday 17th August) due to the forecast bad weather.
Heavy rain is forecast for Friday with some rain also expected on Saturday. As well as rain affecting enjoyment of the activities on the day, the grounds will still be very wet from the rain earlier in the week making a picnic on the lawns a soggy affair and make some of the paved areas very slippery. In consideration of the safety and enjoyment of our visitors we feel it would not be right to hold the event in these conditions.
We will however be offering more family activities in the future and will be launching a new children’s trail at our Open Afternoon on Tuesday 27th August (2pm – 5pm) so we hope to see you there!
The Alex Moulton Charitable Trust.
We are excited to announce the first Family Day in the grounds of The Hall this Summer. It promises to be a day full of fun and discovery. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds, take part in Toby the Cat’s fun childrens activity trail, and enjoy family games including our Croquet Challenge and Giant Jenga!
Situated in the centre of Bradford on Avon, The Hall is a magnificent Grade 1 listed Jacobean mansion which was home to the celebrated engineer Dr Alex Moulton and his faithful feline companion, Toby the Cat.
