Join us to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Mini and the key engineering contributions to the Mini project of The Hall's last resident, Dr Alex Moulton.
Moulton was a close friend and engineering partner of Sir Alec Issigonis and played a highly significant part in the development of the innovative Mini, including the design of its innovative rubber suspension system that was key to its phenomenal success.
Our guest speaker, Peter Barker, is Head of the Design & Communication School at Plymouth College of Art. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Peter has spent over twenty-five years teaching Industrial Design in the UK, Denmark and the USA. A life-long fan of the Mini, Peter was an Editorial Consultant at MiniWorld magazine from 1994 to 2012. He worked with Dr Alex Moulton at Moulton Developments in the 1980s.
The setting for this talk will be the historic study (on the ground floor) at The Hall, Bradford on Avon. Some unique Mini development items will be on display. Refreshments will be provided.
