ALEX MOULTON'S CENTENARY 2020

Alex Moulton was born on April 9th, 1920. As well as April 9th being a birthday for engineers (click here for more details), you will of course have noticed that 2020 marks one hundred years since his birth. We had planned a series of events to mark this centenary; sadly the current coronavirus situation means that all have had to be put on hold.

However, the date is immovable and it must be marked, so we will be endeavouring to publish content online to give a flavour of Alex Moulton’s life and works. Comprising of stories, footage and analysis, we hope to cover most of the salient points, decade by decade. We are not quite sure how long this will take, but the same could be said of almost anything at the moment. We want to put the story out there, as Alex himself would have wished. Later we hope to be able to publish a book of Alex Moulton’s concise life and works. If you have any contributions or suggestions, please get in touch. You can read an introduction to Alex Moulton here.

Meanwhile, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, as it has done so over The Hall for over four hundred years, through times of prosperity and those of challenges. Stay safe everyone.
