Guests will have the opportunity to tour The Hall with one of our knowledgeable guides, to discover the charm and history of this Grade I-listed Jacobean mansion.

Your guided tour ticket includes:

  • 1-hour guided tour unveiling the rich heritage of this meticulously preserved 17th-century home, adorned with period furnishings, tapestries, paintings and elegant décor.

  • Explore magnificent rooms across three floors and learn the stories of the eccentric residents who once resided within including Elizabeth Chudleigh, the notorious Duchess of Kingston who would scandalise Georgian society.

  • Access to the Alex Moulton exhibition. A showcase of the creative engineer and thinker who innovated and revolutionised the British automotive industry.

  • Upon the conclusion of the guided tour, guests will be able to explore the magnificent seven acres of exquisite grounds once described by Country Life as “amongst the most interesting of their kind in England.” Discover secret hidden corners, deep ponds, towering ancient trees and local wildlife.

Please Note – Our annual History at The Hall event will be occurring on the days of the tours. A general admission ticket will be required to gain entry into the estate.

Tour Entrance

The entrance to the Hall for guided tours is via the Eagle Gate which is located midway on Holt Road. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your guided tour is due to begin. A representative of The Hall will greet you before your guided tour begins.

Parking

Parking is limited and available on the grounds of The Hall past the Eagle Gate entrance. If parking space has reached max capacity visitors can make use of the local car parking facilities within the town situated 5 minutes of walking distance from The Hall.

Bradford on Avon train station is a 7-minute walk from The Hall.

Accessibility

Due to the building’s Grade I-listing, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users inside The Hall. Please be aware that there are four steps to access the downstairs rooms, and 33 steps via a wooden staircase to the upstairs rooms.
