The Hall introduces the first annual History at The Hall, a celebration of history, heritage, and fascinating stories.

Immerse yourself in enthralling history as we open the doors of our Grade I-listed Jacobean mansion to an exciting three-day event of captivating guided tours and historical talks from renowned guest speakers.

General Admission

General admission ticket is £5 and includes:

  • General admission to the grounds of The Hall

  • Heritage skills demonstrations by local craft makers

  • Children’s Historical Discovery Trail

  • Meet our wonderful volunteers and learn about the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust and how you can help at The Hall

  • Cream teas will be served on our terrace throughout the day. Choose from a delightful selection of tea, scones, clotted cream and jam and enjoy the surroundings of our captivating grounds

  • Bring a blanket and a hamper full of goodies and enjoy a lovely picnic on the lawn

Delve deeper into history, and attend one of our special guest talks featuring the historical exploration of the past from expert speakers and leading historians.

Told by local historian and archivist 𝗦𝘂𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘆𝘁𝗲, discover the fascinating stories of the historical women of The Hall and the scandalous lives that they led.

Hosted by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝘄𝗹, architectural and landscape historian. Learn about the art collection of Alex Moulton and the renowned artists behind the extraordinary paintings that he owned.

Event Entrance

The entrance to the History at The Hall event is located on Kingston Road.

Parking

You can make use of the local car parking facilities within the town situated 5 minutes of walking distance from The Hall.

Bradford on Avon train station is a 7-minute walk from The Hall.

Blue badge holders are eligible to park on the grounds of The Hall. Please contact events@moultontrust.org to reserve your parking spot.

Accessibility

Due to the building’s Grade I-listing, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users inside The Hall. Please be aware that there are four steps to access the downstairs rooms, and 33 steps via a wooden staircase to the upstairs rooms.

Dog Policy

The Hall is a dog-friendly venue. Your well-behaved four-legged friend is welcome to stroll along and enjoy our grounds, however, please do ensure that they are on a short lead at all times. Please pick up after your dog and take any deposits home with you.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in the house or on tours.

Carer Tickets

Guests with accessible needs are entitled to a free carer ticket for one personal carer who accompanies any disabled guest. Please note that you must purchase at least 1 full-priced ticket to be able to qualify for a free carer ticket.

Student Bundles

Valid student ID must be presented with tickets upon entry.
