The House

The Hall is central to Bradford-on-Avon, yet it is almost completely hidden away - a secret space mixing industry, nature, creativity and innovation.

This magnificent Grade I-listed Jacobean mansion is multi-faceted and provides interest and delight to all who visit. History runs deep here – in people, culture, architecture and landscapes.

The Grounds

Sir Archibald Russell, the celebrated aerospace engineer, once remarked that the grounds of The Hall were “perfectly designed for their purpose.” Yet over the centuries, that purpose has continually evolved—shaped by the tastes, needs, and ideals of each era.

From function to formality, the grounds of The Hall are a living chronicle of four centuries of changing sensibilities.
